Naperville's Riverwalk

November 4th came with a day off of school for the boys. I got to attend parent-teacher conferences in the morning. We then ventured over to pick up Emma from preschool where she showed off her brothers to her teacher. After lunch, I had to get us out to enjoy this gorgeous weather, so we headed down to the riverwalk for some fun at the park, feeding the ducks, a stop at the local bookstore, and an ice cream stop. Despite the complaints of thirst and tired feet, we had a lovely day.

I have to explain this picture below. For those of you who don't know Evan, he's a funny kid. I have to tell him to stop reading encyclopedias multiple times a day. We've also banned the phrase, "Did you know...." He can't get enough information about anything and everything, especially animals. Well, while we were strolling down the path, he was explaining to me that if a goose ever tries to attack you, you just raise your arms up in order to increase your size and they'll be intimidated by you. He was not being attacked at this point by anything, but I think it was all preliminary--just making sure nothing tried to question his superiority. :)

Evan, you crack me up!

Love the picture of Evan. It's a good thing that he's so well read so that he can protect the family!

oooh you are making me super jealous of the beautiful fall scenery! Those geese are pretty scary. One time we went there and didn't realize we were near a nest-I've never seen my kids run so fast! Next time we'll know what to do-thanks Evan!

Hi Steve, I saw your link to this blog on your facebook page. You have a beautiful family. Feel free to check our blog out at lewisnclark@blogspot.com.

I hope the last 19 years have treated you well. I noticed that you are in Naperville. We are only 3.5 hours away in Iowa City. I work at the University of Iowa as a cell biologist. We love the Midwest but even after 8 years we still hate the humidity.

Kori, your kids are adorable!!! I am trying to figure this blog thing out. It is so cool to see you on here. How are you feeling? I was so worried about you when you had Lizzie. (She is gorgeous by the way!) I hope you all are doing well. We have to meet up sometime! We had so much fun with you! I would love to get your address to send you a Christmas card. Much love, Kasea Lazenby
