Moving to a house that we had only seen in pictures on the computer made us all uneasy as we left a home that held 10 years of memories for us. A dear friend gave us the idea to give the kids glitter that they could scatter as wishes for the new family. All 5 of them picked different places that held special meaning to them and blew the happy thoughts/luck/blessings around. I think it helped. It made me cry. It was also good for them to walk into the house without any of our stuff in it. They realized that a home isn't the structure. That's just a house. It's what's in it that makes it a home.
