We have a tradition of filling out a bucket list every summer to make sure we cram in everything we want to do before school starts. This summer actually proved to be a challenge to get everything done! Between scout camps, baseball, and swimming our first half of summer flew by!
But it sure was fun watching Emma improve upon her softball skills. She became quite the hitter!
I think what motivated her was the array of cheers that she and her team would shout while waiting on the side. They'd dance and sing and chant. Totally girly, but it made me laugh and look forward to watching them as they put on their show.

Lizzie wasn't into t-ball, but she improved a lot as well. By the end, she was hitting with some force, running to ground a ball, and running with some effort around the bases. I don't think she wants to do it for another season, but she looked dang cute in her uniform!
Swimming overruns our summer, but when Braxton's friend stayed with us for a week, we went to swim for "fun" (I know, novel idea) at Pelican Harbor.
Every summer, Bass Pro Shops puts on mini classes about the outdoors. We chose to go to their "Bird Watching" class, since Evan is a HUGE birder!!! This is his new thing and he's quite good at giving at least 3 random facts about each bird and can identify most by their call--thanks to some bird apps on his Itouch.
Evan got to go to yet another scout camp. This one was in Virginia at a brand new base where jamboree will be held next summer. So, he got to be a part of a Shakedown group where they go and test everything to see if the camp is ready for the tens of thousands of people next year. This was his first time away without a family member with him, and we all had a difficult time sending him off.

Tuesdays at the roller skating rink is free with our pass. So, we went twice. The second time Lizzie even tried it out with her "support".

Meatheads has a reading program to give the kids free meals after 5 books. Still is pricey, but yummy.
And our new favorite ice cream/frozen yogurt place.......i Kiwi! You pay by the ounce and fill up your cup with as many flavors and toppings as you want. Plus they have popping bobas, which are bits of seaweed extract that absorb whatever liquid its submerged in. Yummy!
